Dude....

It's almost 4 am New Years Day and we are so thankful to have gotten home safe and sound. I just had to share a cute story about our lil guy.....Ever since Tanner was born, i have sung the ABC's, spelled his name, repeated mama and dada over and over, counted to 15, tried to teach him the word book over and over, as well as the words bite and drink all the while working with him on learning how to crawl and clap and the only thing he has gotten from me is "more" in sign language. Then, one day his daddy looses his job and gets to stay home with him while i go to work doing odd jobs. In this past month that Tanner and daddy have been together, Tanner has learned how to clap and say yae, crawl, say uh-oh. Then, two nights ago, Joe and Tanner were in the kitchen. Joe dropped somehting and said "dude." Low and behold Tanner says "dude...." Now, the ironic thing is....we never say dude and joe says it one time and Tanner does it. Now all tanner does is crawl, clap his hands, say yae, uh oh and dude. He does not say bite, drink, book or anything of that sort. On top of that...Tanner wants his dad non-stop.
I am so happy taht he loves his daddy so much, but i feel like i suck as a mom ;-) I know he loves me, but what the heck?! lol Anyway, so i was with Tanner at Target and all he would say is dude...dude...DUDE....DUUUUUDE. lol All i have to say is.....Just you wait daddy....just wait till you are gone for the month of Feb....then you will see who he loves the most ;-)
