Dear Tanner: My, what an amazing little 4 year-old you are! You have been taking such great care of your "little buddy." He could not ask for a better brother! Although, i am sure he will try to when you tell him to get out of your room some day, but so far so good! :-) In fact, you have yet to get annoyed whatsoever with Easton. You just love him more than anything. You are always showing him what cool toys you have and how you can ride your BIG boy orange bike. You know, nana helped mommy and daddy buy this bike for you since we cannot afford one with daddy out of a job. Anyway, yesterday we went to Granma and ThaTha's house where they got you your very own easter basket with a fishing pole in it! You just love that thing and we cannot wait to go watch you catch some HUGE fish :-). You even slept with it ( mommy too) while still in the box! And yes, to this day you still rock yourself to sleepAnd today, we went to Aunt Amy and Uncle Craig's (Skylee too)for Easter and you had a blast hunting for Easter eggs while they, Nana, and PawPaw all got you easter baskets. You even got a NEW backpack with a water bottle to use with your bike! When we got home, we went outside and you rode your bike with the backpack filled with Easter candy and you learned an awesome new trick----how to make skid marks on the sidewalk by hitting your breaks really hard. I think you made about 20 new black marks and every time you made a new one you had to tell mommy or daddy! ;-) You are in your first soccer league where you practice for the first half hour and play a game the second 1/2 hour. However, we have to really push you to GO to soccer and FINISH without quitting because it "hurts your feelings" when you go to get the ball, but the other kids get it first. Mommy also has to remind you several times to "keep your hands out of your pants!" I have a feeling this will be a never-ending issue. Your best friends at Tara's are Caleb and Jayden. You always like to take a special toy to share with them. Besides those two, you also LOVE Kia and Celine. Whenever you guys are together, you have the time of your life! We don't even get to see you because you are too busy hamin' it up with them! Yep, you know how to work the ladies, thats my TanMan! Speaking of which, ThaTha made a recent trip to India and you said "all the girls would just kiss me up!" They would try, but mama would keep them off ya! They brought you guys each an Indian outfit and you looked so handsome. You would make the perfect prince some day! You recently told me that your favorite places are McDonald's, Dairy Queen, and Dunkin Donuts. The saying must be true, "you are what you eat"...You sweet lover boy you.
And finally, the way you say some things are pretty funny. The other day when you were annoyed with me, you said "mommy, I am annoying you." If you accidentally or purposefully hurt Kendel-Boo, you bend down and tell her "say its ok bobo, its ok" Whenever you are being a really good boy, which is quite often these days, you say "I am being a good boy, what should i get for being a good boy." If we say no to something you ask for, you say "I never get to do that, i never...." One day, Kendel was being a bad lil thang, and you said, "kendel, boys drool!"
Oh tanner...i wrote began this note 3 or 4 days ago. Since then, you got mad at Easton for the first time :-(. I walked into the living room and heard you yelling "you never share your toys! I am not gonna share my toys with you again!" You were so mad because easton would get upset if you touched the the hanging beach ball. All you wanted to do was play with him and love him, but he got upset and screamed at you so you yelled at him. What a sad day. BUT, i know you still love him! We love you too!
Dear Kendel-Boo,
One thing I say about you is that you do not think you are a princess, you KNOW you are the Queen :-) You are so stinkin' adorable with the best sense of humor I have ever known in a little 2 1/2 year-old. The other day you said "go get me computer for my room, bobo already has a computer" This is just one of the many ways you have proven that you know what you want and you will "get" it :-) For example, today you said you needed a pink helmet to match your pink bike. I had to inform you that your bike is still purple and attempted to convince you to get a purple helmet, but you said "no, i want pink one like millias!!" You love pink and love the letter K (for Kendel of course). In fact, i am pretty sure you think the letter K must belong in every word, because you always ask "where my K? Where my K? Love: Your love is so cute as I am realizing that you love to be loved on more than i thought. You just don't initiate it on your own. So, i am doing my best to "convince" you to come snuggle mommy up while also teaching you to sit still when sitting on somebody's lap. While you are still a daddy's girl, i will just eat you up! I love how you scrunch your nose up, shrug your shoulders and smack me on the booty. The other day mommy was on an important phone call. Upon daddy's prompting, you came running our yelling "mommy, where your undies?!" You actually pulled my pants all the way down while repeatedly asking to see my "undies." However, you refuse to get potty trained. Any time we tell you that you need to go pee on the potty to receive a prize, you say "oh." That's the end of the conversation until the exact same thing happens a few hours later. You love both of your brothers--you love to bug tanner, but you also love to TRY and love on easton by hitting him on the head (your version of a love pat). I think you get just as mad at the two of them for different reasons. You are great at copying any and everything that tanman does! It's so funny! One day you got mad when easton was only 3 months old because he was "talking" you said "eaton! be quiet!" then you thew a hard pair of shoes on his face...he was so sad and boy did you get in trouble! I think you are just always wanting to instigate (daddy says you are just like mommy) and cannot stand when mommy and daddy tell you no. We are in a stage where we have to repeatedly put you in time-out and spank you because you go to time-out for disobeying, but then come out of time-out because you are "done." Then, you go right back to doing what you are not supposed to be doing. I think you get a rush from being bad because you will do something "wrong" and just run away with this grin, that is, until we catch up to you. However, Tara and pretty much anybody else you visit tell us that you are so good and just do your own thing. We are not sure what is in the air at home that makes you so spunky! Anyway, you are a special and we treasure you smile, special lovin', and orneriness! WE love you baby girl!
Dear Bubbalicious,
You are such a pretty little man. I am sorry, but its true. You and your brother and just pretty babies! You are beginning to show your personality more at you come upon your 5 month birthday. Your passion and love is food! OMG! i have seriously never experienced such a young babies interest in food. Last night I was eating my low calorie popcorn while holding you on my lap. You literally just sat and watched my hand go from the bowl to my mouth--at least 10 times. Then, you got upset because you wanted to eat. I tried to give you a carrot to suck on, but this really ticked you off, so we had to give you a bottle and put you nigh-nigh. It is pretty much the norm that mommy has to hide when she eats. Even if you just ate 10 minutes ago, you MUST have food if I am eating. Last night you also saw Tanner sitting on the couch with a sippy cup, then turned your head to see kendel with her sippy cup and cried, because you didn't have a bottle---did i mention you just finished a bottle within the last hour?! Oh, and when you get mad you scream/shriek like a girl--just like Russell T, except it is just adorable when you do it. So far, we believe that you are a perfect combination of BoBo and Boo. You look a lot like bobo, but also have kendel's nose and lips. You scrunch your lil nose like Kboo and mommy too! I just LOVE it! Of course you ticklish on your sides just like daddy and your laugh is so forced. Its like you just want to "be cool" when you laugh. You throw your head back a little and look up with this forced laugh! Just like all boys, you love to be nakey. No matter your mood, if i take your clothes off to change you, you get all excited and kick your feet everywhere, then you remember that you have feet and do whatever you can to grab them, hold them, or suck on them. Mommy really needs to get you in for your first official haircut (mommy already trimmed it at 3 months, but don't tell daddy). Your hair is just all shaggy as it hangs below your ears and neckline. I am hoping to grow it out in a cool boys hair style! You love the attention that your brother and sister give you. You seem to get bored when they are at daycare and you are not. But, as soon as they are in your face, you are smiling away! However, i think you are learning how to get kendel "back" for all the times she has hurt you. Yesterday mommy was holding you and Kendel. You got this look on your face, reached over and grabbed her blankie. I am pretty sure you knew that the end result would be upsetting your sister. Okie Doke Bubs, I have to go clean. We love you!
